Shape the Future of Dermatology Nursing
We are seeking an inspirational and experienced nurse leader to join our Dermatology Service as Lead Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to influence and develop a forward-thinking service that delivers high-quality, patient-centred dermatology care across a diverse East London population.

Role Overview
The role of Matron is predominantly concerned with ensuring the delivery of high standards of patient-centred care ensuring the cost-effective use of resources. It combines clinical expertise, leadership and educational/research skills with managerial and professional responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for the day-to-day management of the nursing service across the Whipps Cross Hospital Dermatology Outpatients department.
- Responsible for the smooth and safe running of the whole service including budget control, clinical governance, staff development and training in conjunction with the service manager and clinical lead.
- Provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multi-disciplinary team within the area for which they are accountable for.
- Involved in the development of protocols/guidelines and patient information.
