Role: Maximo, Cognos, DB2 & Azure Technical Lead / Architect
Location: Derby, UK (Hybrid- 2 days in a week)
Must hold or be eligible to clear BPSS vetting prior to starting.
Role Purpose
- Provide end-to-end MAS architecture leadership across the full project lifecycle.
- Architect and design solutions bridging Azure/ARO and DB2 database platforms.
- Lead the technical governance and successful integration of the Cognos upgrade.
- Establish cross-workstream technical governance to ensure alignment across infrastructure, data, and application teams.
- Oversee and deliver robust performance and security optimization tailored for regulated sectors.

Required Experience & Technical Skills
Core Maximo & IBM Suite Expertise
- Proven track record leading IBM Maximo upgrade projects (specifically moving to MAS 8.x or 9.x).
- Deep understanding of MAS architecture, RedHat OpenShift, and containerized deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Cognos reporting upgrades and Maximo integration frameworks.
Database & Cloud Infrastructure

- Strong experience architecting solutions on Azure Cloud and Azure RedHat OpenShift (ARO).
- Solid technical proficiency with IBM DB2 database architecture, including migration experience from Oracle to DB2.
- Expertise in middleware platforms, API management, and enterprise integration patterns (EIP).
Domain & Compliance Requirements
- Prior experience working within the Aerospace & Defence sector or similarly highly-regulated environments.
- Exceptional technical governance skills with the ability to lead cross-functional technical teams.
- Must hold or be eligible to clear BPSS vetting prior to starting.
- Ability to commute to the Derby office 2 days a week.
