MCE & Events – 12-Month Contract

Rate: Up to £340/day

The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced MCE & Events professional to join a leading pharmaceutical organisation on a 12-month contract.
You will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of priority global congresses across H2 2026 and H1 2027, acting as the central point of contact across internal stakeholders, agencies, vendors, and congress organisers.
This is a hands-on orchestration role covering planning, logistics, sponsorships, governance, onsite delivery, stakeholder management, and post-congress close-out.

- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of priority global congresses.
- Act as the central SPOC across Medical Affairs, agencies, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Manage congress logistics, sponsorships, budgets, and operational planning.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure clear governance and accountability.
- Oversee onsite delivery and act as the key escalation point.
- Manage risks, issues, and time-sensitive decisions.
- Lead post-congress debriefs, reporting, and lessons learned.
- Drive consistency and continuous improvement across the congress portfolio.
Essential Experience
- Strong pharmaceutical industry experience within congress/events.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale global/international congresses end-to-end.
- Strong stakeholder management and orchestration skills within complex, matrix environments.
- Good understanding of congress logistics, sponsorship models, governance, and compliance.
- Ability to operate independently and confidently manage multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
