Your Impact

We're looking for an MCS expert to help with our expansion into territories beyond Germany and with the UK firmly in mind.

Your role will be to fix the installer's most annoying job in helping us take the pain out of documentation, the part of every install that installers dread most. You'll pressure test our MCS flow and your first project is to go through our current MCS commissioning and handover flow with the eyes of someone who has done it on site. Tell us what's missing, what's wrong and what would never work on a real job.

You'll help us close the gap between the rules and reality, turning MCS requirements into practical product decisions, so the documents our clients produce pass inspection the first time. We want you to be our go-to for UK compliance. Over time, you'll be the person we turn to with UK market and compliance questions. You'll keep us up to date as PV and heating standards, MCS and DNO processes change.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you bring

  • Hands-on installer experience. You've worked as an installer (now or in the past) on both solar and heat pumps
  • Deep MCS knowledge. You know the commissioning, handover and certification requirements inside out, and you know how they're applied in practice.
  • An eye for documentation pitfalls. You know where installers usually go wrong: missing evidence, wrong or incomplete forms, failed audits, and the shortcuts that cause trouble later.
  • DNO experience. You know the DNO application flow, including G98/G99 notifications and applications, and the usual reasons they get delayed.
  • Up to date on regulation. You follow changes in UK PV and heating compliance and can explain what they mean for installers.
  • Clear, direct communication. You can explain technical requirements to product and engineering teams who have never stood on a roof.
  • Nice to have: based in the UK. We're open to remote candidates elsewhere.

About us

Heating our buildings causes around 25% of Europe's CO₂ emissions. Decarbonizing it depends on installers – and there are far too few of them to keep up with the growing demand for heat pumps.

autarc is building the operating system for energy installers across Europe: software that makes planning, designing and installing heat pumps faster and more digital. Our goal is to help plan and design 1 million heat pumps by 2030.

Founded in Berlin and backed by Y Combinator (S24), we're a team of 60+ people across Sales, Tech and Operations, already serving more than 2,000 customers.
