Company Overview
Our client is a high-growth global consumer technology company, recognized as the #1 player globally in its category. The company has a rapidly expanding presence across North America, Europe, and Asia. Originally a successful consumer product business, it has evolved into a broader consumer technology ecosystem, including hardware, software, mobile applications, and data-enabled products and services. Growth has been driven by product innovation, consumer-centric design, brand building, and sophisticated e-commerce execution. Europe is a major strategic market as the company continues to build its position as a new generation global consumer brand. The company is appointing a Head of Europe to take end-to-end ownership of the region and lead its next phase of growth.
Role Summary
The Head of Europe will serve as the company’s senior business leader for the region, responsible for growth, commercial performance, market share, go-to-market (GTM) strategy, and regional development. This is a broad regional leadership mandate, requiring the determination of priority countries, categories, products, consumer segments, and channels. The role involves building an integrated omnichannel business, combining Amazon EU, DTC, retail/distribution, and omnichannel strategies into a coherent European growth plan. Understanding the differences between European markets is essential, with tailored GTM, channel mix, and investment priorities by country.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the overall European business strategy and commercial performance.
- Develop and execute a multi-year growth strategy to significantly increase market share across Europe.
- Identify priority countries, categories, products, consumer segments, and channels.
- Drive growth across Amazon EU, DTC, retail, distributors, and other relevant channels.
- Build an integrated omnichannel strategy across online and offline channels.
- Lead European GTM and product commercialization, determining how global products should be positioned, launched, and scaled in different markets.
- Identify opportunities for new product launches, category expansion, and localization based on consumer insights and competitive dynamics.
- Drive consumer demand and sell-out, focusing on end-user sales rather than just distribution or retailer sell-in.
- Develop and manage senior relationships with major retailers, marketplaces, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Balance growth with profitability, pricing, margin, inventory, and channel economics.
- Build the regional strategy around the company’s hardware, software, app, and data ecosystem.
- Partner closely with global Product, Marketing, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing European organization.
- Represent the European market to global leadership, ensuring regional priorities influence product, investment, and strategic decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
