🧠 MDT Clinical Lead – Neurodevelopmental Services
Location: Manchester / Remote
Salary: Negotiable
Hours: Min 2 days p/week
Contract: Minimum 6 Months
We are looking for an experienced and inspirational clinician to join us as MDT Clinical Lead for a rapidly growing clinic in Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior clinician who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and adults with autism and/or ADHD, and who wants to help shape a high-quality, evidence-based and genuinely multidisciplinary service.
The role
As MDT Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership, professional oversight and strategic direction across the neurodevelopmental MDT.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across health, education, social care and other partner organisations, you will help ensure that our service delivers safe, person-centred and clinically robust assessment and care.
You will:
- Lead and chair the multidisciplinary clinical team, ensuring effective clinical decision-making and shared accountability.
- Provide senior clinical oversight of complex neurodevelopmental presentations and diagnostic decision-making.
- Promote a genuinely multidisciplinary approach, drawing on the expertise of paediatrics, psychiatry, psychology, nursing and allied health professionals.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship and professional support to members of the MDT.
- Ensure appropriate clinical governance, risk management, safeguarding and quality assurance.
- Support the development and implementation of evidence-based clinical pathways, policies and standards.
- Work closely with operational and service leads to improve access, waiting times, quality and patient experience.
- Develop strong relationships with families, people with lived experience and external stakeholders.
- Champion neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based practice across the service.
- Contribute to service transformation, workforce development, audit, research and continuous improvement.

About you
We are looking for a clinician who combines strong clinical expertise with genuine leadership ability.
You will have:
- Current professional registration with the relevant UK regulatory body.
- Substantial clinical experience in neurodevelopmental services, particularly autism and/or ADHD.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
- Demonstrable experience of providing senior clinical leadership and/or chairing MDTs.
- Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental assessment, differential diagnosis and formulation.
- Experience managing complex clinical presentations and clinical risk.
- Excellent communication and collaborative working skills.
- A commitment to evidence-based, person-centred and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
- Experience of clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.
