Job Opportunity: Cancer Services Team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust

The Cancer Services Team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust has a fantastic 37.5 hour per week permanent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individual who is looking for a challenge in a post that is both interesting and varied.

About the Role

You will be responsible primarily for providing an effective tracking and administration service in the management of cancer patients to achieve National Cancer Waiting Time targets, and in line with the local standards.

Key Duties

  • Planning and organising MDT meetings
  • Managing the patient through the cancer pathway
  • Highlighting delays or potential issues and proactively resolving these
  • Maintaining accurate data on Somerset Cancer Register
  • Ensuring the patients can be monitored through a patient tracking list (PTL)

This role works closely with clinical teams and Operational Business Managers.

  • Desire to work in a patient focussed environment
  • Good IT and organisational skills
  • Ability to deal sensitively and confidently with people, both face to face and over the telephone
  • Ability to work effectively as part of the team
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work using your own initiative and without direct supervision

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in a clerical / administration role
  • Understanding of cancer targets and patient pathways
