We are currently recruiting for experienced M&E Asset Surveyors to support a range of building and asset management projects across the UK.

This role will involve carrying out detailed surveys of mechanical and electrical assets across a variety of commercial and public sector buildings. You will be responsible for accurately identifying, inspecting and recording asset information, ensuring data is captured to a high standard and in line with project and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed M&E asset surveys across a range of building types.
  • Identify and inspect mechanical and electrical plant, equipment, and building services assets.
  • Record key asset information including equipment specifications, condition, location, age, and maintenance requirements.
  • Accurately capture asset data using digital surveying tools, CAFM systems, or mobile data collection platforms.
  • Ensure all survey information is complete, accurate, and compliant with project requirements.
  • Identify asset condition issues, defects, and maintenance requirements where applicable.
  • Liaise professionally with site teams, facilities management personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Work in accordance with relevant health & safety requirements and site procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of data quality and attention to detail throughout the surveying process.
  • Complete surveys within agreed project timescales and provide clear and accurate records.

About You

We are looking for candidates with previous experience in M&E asset surveying, asset management, facilities management, or building services.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience surveying mechanical and electrical assets within buildings.
  • Good knowledge of M&E building services and equipment.
  • Experience using digital survey tools, tablets, or CAFM/data collection systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data capture.
  • The ability to work independently across multiple sites.
  • Good communication skills when dealing with site teams and clients.
  • A strong understanding of on-site health & safety requirements.
  • Relevant M&E, engineering, facilities management, or asset management qualifications are desirable but not essential.
