The Event Manager Role
The Event Manager is responsible for all elements of the end-to-end management of an event, including sourcing, logistics, financial management, and communication with our transportation team. This position relates to the Pharma/Medical client sector and focuses on our 'retention strategy'. All activities contribute to the key responsibilities of overall customer retention regarding establishing a professional long-term relationship, excellent service, and account expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End National and/or International Project Management
- Negotiations (financial, contractual, etc.) with suppliers
- Communication with the requester of meetings/events/team building activities
- Demonstrate leadership skills when managing the project team
- Operational management of the project (planning, registration)
- Accurate and timely data management
- Logistical coordination of the event
- Maximizing revenue per event and insight into the total contribution to revenue and the profit and loss statement
- Budget alignment per event
- Analytical reasoning
- On-site assistance (if needed, not mandatory, and based on upselling by the meeting planner)
- Financial and data reporting per event
- Additional tasks as requested

Requirements
- Fluent business English
- Excellent customer service
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in event management
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
- Flexibility and adaptability in a process-driven environment
- Team spirit
- Used to working under pressure
- High attention to detail
