Your new role
As an M&E Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a range of capital and revenue projects from inception through to completion, following the RIBA Plan of Work. You will lead multiple projects (typically £250k-£5m) with a strong Mechanical & Electrical bias, including Long Term Maintenance schemes, minor works, and energy/carbon reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Managing projects to meet time, cost, and quality objectives
- Developing project briefs and supporting business cases and funding bids
- Identifying and implementing appropriate procurement strategies
- Leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, including consultants and contractors
- Acting as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with H&S, CDM regulations, and statutory requirements
- Contributing to continuous improvement within the Project Delivery function

What You'll Need To Succeed
- Proven experience delivering construction projects with a strong M&E focus
- Experience managing multiple projects (up to £5m) in complex environments
- Strong understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and full project lifecycle delivery
- Experience managing consultants, contractors, and supply chain partners
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Knowledge of construction procurement, contracts, and governance processes
Desirable
- Experience within a complex estate environment (e.g. public sector, healthcare, education, or similar)
- Experience in business case development or investment appraisal
- Awareness of sustainability, energy, or carbon reduction projects
- Relevant qualifications in Building Services / Engineering, with H&S or project management certification

- Salary: £50,253 to £56,535 per annum
