The Role

Interlinx is currently seeking an experienced M&E Project Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in the Southeast.

This is a permanent, site-based position with responsibility for overseeing the delivery of MEP and Low Voltage (LV) works across a complex construction environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the project management, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure works are delivered safely, to programme, and in accordance with the required quality and technical standards.

The role will suit an experienced M&E professional who is comfortable working in a site environment and taking ownership of MEP packages from installation through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery of MEP and LV installation works on site.
  • Manage day-to-day engineering activities associated with MEP packages.
  • Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions, and installation requirements.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and specialist MEP contractors.
  • Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or technical issues.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers and wider engineering team.
  • Ensure installations are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
  • Review and resolve technical queries, RFIs and site issues.
  • Assist with the planning and sequencing of MEP works.
  • Carry out regular inspections to ensure works are being delivered to the required quality.
  • Monitor testing, inspection, and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and technical documentation.
  • Support the preparation and review of method statements, ITPs, and other project documentation.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Assist with snagging, completion, and handover of MEP systems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
