The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&E Project Manager to join a well-established and growing building services business.
This is an excellent role for a commercially aware Project Manager who enjoys taking full ownership of projects from initial specification and tender through to successful delivery.
You'll be managing a variety of mechanical and electrical projects ranging from approximately £500k to £1Miliion, predominantly within occupied client premises. The position offers plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to build strong client relationships while identifying additional project opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage M&E projects from initial enquiry through to completion
- Deliver projects on time, within budget and to a high standard
- Take responsibility for project financial performance, budgets and forecasting
- Identify and manage commercial, contractual and operational risks
- Procure and manage specialist subcontractors
- Ensure subcontractor performance, quality and programme requirements are maintained
- Select appropriate equipment and technical solutions for projects
- Produce specifications, tenders and project documentation
- Maintain strong relationships with clients throughout project delivery
- Attend client meetings and provide regular project updates
- Ensure projects comply with relevant Health & Safety and QSHE requirements
- Identify additional works and opportunities within existing client accounts
- Support tendering, negotiation and wider business development activities
- Provide practical, technically sound and cost-effective solutions for clients

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced M&E Project Manager with a strong combination of technical, commercial and client-facing skills.
Ideally, You'll Have
- Around 5 years' experience in a similar M&E Project Management role
- Experience delivering Mechanical & Electrical projects from £500k to £1Miliion
- Strong commercial and financial management experience
- Experience managing specialist subcontractors
- Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services
- Experience delivering projects within occupied commercial/client environments
- Ability to specify, tender and negotiate project works
- Strong understanding of contractual and commercial risk
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
- Relevant engineering, building services or project management qualification
