M&E Project Manager – Leeds
Location: Leeds Centre
Contract: Immediate Start – April 2027
Working Pattern: 5 days per week / 44 hours
The Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced M&E Project Manager to join a major new-build residential development in Leeds city centre.
The role will focus on the MEP delivery of additional client and amenity spaces, managing the process from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will act as the key M&E contact for these areas, managing client expectations and coordinating specialist subcontractors and directly employed resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage MEP works from design through to commissioning and handover.
- Act as the key M&E contact for client/amenity spaces.
- Manage design coordination, procurement, and pre-commencement activities.
- Manage specialist MEP subcontract packages and directly employed operatives.
- Lead MEP delivery on site, ensuring programme, quality, and H&S requirements are met.
- Manage H&S, Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), and quality matters.
- Monitor progress, planning, reporting, and resource requirements.
- Manage cost plans, material ordering, and relevant commercial activities.
- Oversee setting to work of operatives and subcontractors.
- Lead testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover.

Essential Requirements
- Proven M&E / MEP Project Management experience within construction.
- Experience managing client expectations and project reporting.
- Strong understanding of H&S and SSoW.
- Experience managing directly employed resources and specialist subcontractors.
- Good understanding of commercial practices and procurement.
- Experience with MEP installation, testing, and commissioning.
- CSCS Project Manager or Engineer card.
- SMSTS qualification.
- Good IT/computer skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team-management skills.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage own workload effectively.
