Job Summary
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced M&E Project Supervisor to join our client’s team in Canary Wharf.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for supervising small-scale M&E projects and coordinating third-party contractors across a large commercial environment. You’ll oversee electricians, HVAC engineers, plumbers, and other specialist contractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer or supervisor looking to take the next step away from the tools and develop their career towards project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate third-party vendors, including electricians, HVAC engineers, plumbers, and other specialist contractors.
- Supervise all project-related works, inspections, and surveys on site.
- Act as the first point of contact for contractors attending the building.
- Escort vendors delivering works within the building where required.
- Manage and process permits to work.
- Carry out the first approval of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure contractors follow appropriate working procedures.
- Conduct electrical isolations where required and within the scope of your qualification and authorisation.
- Carry out regular walk-rounds of project areas to identify potential problems, defects, and snags.
- Conduct health and safety inspections within non-demised areas.
- Work closely with Health, Environmental, and Safety teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure vendors and team members comply with company policies, procedures, and operating standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
