M&E Resident Engineers | Hyperscale Data Centres | Outside IR35
I'm currently looking to speak with experienced M&E Resident Engineers for a range of Outside IR35 contract opportunities across the UK and Europe.
These positions are supporting some of the world's largest hyperscale and mission-critical data centre environments, and I'm keen to connect with individuals who have a proven track record within live operational facilities, large-scale campus environments, commissioning, critical switching, and operational readiness.
Locations
Current and upcoming opportunities include:
- London & Slough
- Manchester
- Reading
- Dublin
- Frankfurt
- Madrid
Additional UK and European locations as projects mobilise.
Typical Responsibilities
- Critical facilities operations
- Electrical and mechanical infrastructure management
- HV/LV systems
- UPS, generators and cooling systems
- Switching procedures and permit control
- Commissioning and handover support
- SOP, MOP and EOP development
- Operational readiness and transition activities
- Vendor and contractor management
- Incident response and escalation

Rate Guide (Outside IR35)
Resident Engineer
£450-£550 per day
Strong critical environment experience
M&E infrastructure knowledge
Data centre operations background
Senior Resident Engineer
£550-£700 per day
Hyperscale experience
Commissioning exposure
Operational readiness experience
Client-facing capability
Lead / Principal Resident Engineer
£700-£900 per day
Extensive hyperscale background
Critical switching authority
AP / SAP credentials highly desirable
Large campus experience

Requirements
- Data centre experience is essential
- Mechanical or Electrical bias considered
- Strong understanding of critical infrastructure
- Ability to work within highly regulated environments
- Eligibility to work in the UK and/or Europe
