Linsco recruitment are looking to source a M&E Manager for a vacancy in Coventry with a large, well-known, and established construction business operating on a regional basis.

About the Role

Due to growth and expansion, a M&E Manager is required to support the business on a full-time and permanent basis.

M&E Manager Duties and Responsibilities

• Overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of essential services and equipment found in all buildings, including but not limited to:
  • Water, gas, and electricity supplies
  • Lighting, heating, and air-conditioning
  • ICT
  • Security systems
  • Lifts and escalators
• Ensuring efficiency, quality, and affordability across the design, installation, and maintenance of all essential systems
• Ensuring all completed projects (homes, schools, workplaces, etc.) are healthy and comfortable places for the client
• Work alongside estimators and construction delivery teams.
• Reviewing installation plans and specifications to ensure that they deliver what the building/client needs.
• Advising the design team on the coordination of services within the overall building design, for example, advice on how much space is needed above the ceilings to accommodate ventilation systems and other services.
• Reviewing prices for services work.
• Testing and checking installations.
• Making sure jobs meet building regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Attending meetings (client and s/c) and presenting ideas and progress reports to managers and clients.
• Advising clients on how the building services will operate once the building is complete.
