M&E Technician at Barnet Hospital
Equans is looking for an M&E Technician to join our team at Barnet Hospital. This is a full-time role with participation in a 24-hour on-call rota. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical building services
- Maintain HVAC, gas, medical gas, steam, and plant room equipment
- Manage assigned works, meet response times, and update the Maximo CAFM system accurately
- Work safely in a live hospital environment while supporting colleagues and maintaining a professional service

Who are you?
- Experienced in mechanical and electrical building services installation and maintenance
- Skilled in planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, installation, and refurbishment works
- Knowledgeable in HVAC, gas, medical gas, steam, and plant room systems
- Able to manage works efficiently, meet response times, and maintain accurate CAFM records
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a live hospital environment
- Safety-conscious when using tools, equipment, access systems, and PPE
- Professional, courteous, and respectful towards patients, visitors, staff, and clients
- Willing to undertake relevant training and qualify as an Authorised Person or Competent Person
- Willing to participate in the 24-hour on-call rota
Background checks
This role is based at Barnet Hospital and may require employment screening, occupational health checks, and additional background checks in line with client, contractual, and site requirements. Further checks will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
