M&E Technician Opportunity at Taw Valley Creamery
We have an exciting M&E Technician opportunity to join our Taw Valley Creamery site services team. This is especially exciting as the creamery is undergoing a major transformation, thanks to a £179 million investment.
Role Overview
This role is responsible for developing and reviewing commissioning plans to ensure project objectives are met. This role follows a 4 on/4 off days only work pattern for a total of 42 hours per week.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Maintaining services across the site in line with our Planned Preventative Maintenance programme and provide corrective maintenance in case of site equipment failure and breakdown across the following:
- Steam boiler
- Waste Heat Boiler
- CHP checks and testing in line with legal requirements
- Refrigeration plant
- Effluent Treatment Plant
- Hot & Cold water systems
- Cooling tower maintenance
- HVAC maintenance
- To work alongside the OEM's when services are carried out.
- Challenge current processes and practices to identify new opportunities to improve operation and efficiency
- Conduct equipment and plant condition appraisals.
- Awareness of relevant QEHS compliance within the role such as Legionella, fire safety, PSSR, LOTO.
- Authorise permits and ensure the work is being carried out in a safe and controlled manner.

What Will Make You Successful
You should be a time-served apprentice within a relevant discipline, such as mechanical or electrical engineering, with a positive and resilient approach to problem solving, teamwork and continuous improvement. Previous experience within a similar sector, such as building services or facilities management, is required. Relevant industry experience could also include water treatment, industrial facilities management, anaerobic digestion, commercial shipping or facilities maintenance.
