Job Description
Salary Range £30 – £38k
Anthony Brookes Surveys Ltd is a well established, survey company with a first class reputation. Based in Bristol and working nationally, we undertake a wide range of surveys including Measured Building, Topographic, Rail, Setting Out and Monitoring.
We are currently looking for a motivated and committed individual to join our Measured Building Surveying team.
The buildings we work on range from terraced properties through to listed manor houses/churches, hospitals, universities and schools.
Our clients are a mixture of residential, commercial, heritage and public sector.
The Role
The role will involve a mixture of field work and office work processing and drafting. Initially you would work alongside our surveyors to gain detailed knowledge of our current surveying practices and kit before moving onto carrying out your own surveys.
The role will require travel and working away from home, with occasional night shifts. However, a comprehensive additional remuneration package is in place for all hours worked outside of a core 40 hour working week, including paid travel.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
