About The Role
We are looking for a Measurement and Effectiveness Lead to join the new Ad Product team within the Insight & Research division. The role has been developed to undertake digital measurement studies on live campaigns across our network to prove the effectiveness of our digital newsbrands.
Measurement becomes increasingly central to how advertisers evaluate success and this role offers the opportunity to work with clients and our Ad Product team to define meaningful success metrics, delivering robust evidence of campaign performance, and shape the future of our measurement offering.
Main Responsibilities
Key Purpose of the Role
- Provide expertise and knowledge of Mail Metro Media’s digital measurement solutions
- Provide digital measurement strategies to support successful sales pitches
- Implement digital measurement solutions for direct and programmatic campaigns
- Implement optimisation solutions to provide better outcomes for advertisers (clicks, sales, attention)
- Create post campaign reports to provide clients with insights into their campaign performance
- Evaluate digital measurement providers and deliver recommendations on which to onboard
- Develop research strategies for new ad product launches, briefing in suppliers across quantitative & qualitative solutions
- Plan and analyse quantitative & qualitative studies to develop sales stories for new ad products

The role is accountable for:
- Creating & presenting strategic digital measurement solutions to advertisers and agencies
- Managing the implementation of digital measurement on programmatic & direct digital campaigns
- Providing optimisations on digital campaigns to improve measurement metrics
- Providing post campaign reporting & attention measurement across digital campaigns
- Providing case studies and learnings on campaigns
Person Specification
We are looking for someone with extensive experience working within an adtech vendor, media owner, agency, or research platform, with a dedicated background in media effectiveness, research, or insight roles.
- Data storytelling is a key part of the role, a strong candidate would be comfortable taking complex data sets or statistical outputs and relaying them in plain language.
- Deep understanding of industry-standard research tools, clean rooms, and media effectiveness practices (e.g., brand/sales lift, attention, or A/B testing) is highly valued. Knowledge of attention providers (Lumen, Adelaide, RealEyes, Element Human etc) or knowledge of brand lift providers (Brand Metrics, RAM, Happydemics etc) would be valued.
- Understanding & knowledge of digital advertising metrics (impressions, clicks, CTR, viewability, attention score) and platforms (Google Ad Manager, IAS, MOAT etc)
- Self-motivated, an enthusiastic attitude and the adaptability to proactively prioritise workloads.
- Able to handle competing priorities, juggle multiple study timelines, and deliver projects on time across the end-to-end campaign lifecycle.
- Experience evaluating measurement suppliers, briefing in measurement suppliers and writing surveys.
- Use learning agendas to make the best use of our measurement suite and solve core client challenges, helping to build long term strategic partnerships
- Bring new ideas to the Insight & Research team on effectiveness and digital measurement.
