About the Company

Holdsworth Foods is one of the UK's largest independent foodservice distributors. We have a real passion for what we do and our business is built on the quality of service we provide. We are a preferred partner for various caterers, including local authorities, hospitals, care homes, independent schools, pub groups, restaurants, and cafes. Our primary operations involve warehousing and distribution from our ten sites across the UK, which feature two catering butchery facilities. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our customers, delivering exceptional service and quality.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant to work in our Butchery team at our Tideswell depot. No previous butchery experience is required but a willingness to work in a coldstore environment. This role would suit someone who is wishing to work towards being a Butcher as full training can be provided if desired.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
