Role Description
This full-time, on-site Mechanic role is based in Buckie and involves performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Inspecting vehicles
- Identifying mechanical and electrical issues
- Completing scheduled services
- Carrying out repairs to manufacturer and company standards

The Mechanic will use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment, maintain accurate service records, and follow safety procedures in the workshop. The role also includes:
- Collaborating with colleagues
- Communicating clearly with service advisors or sales staff
- Helping ensure vehicles are ready for sale or customer collection in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair for vehicles and related systems.
- Ability to work with Heavy Equipment where required, including safe operation and handling.
- Solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues efficiently.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in automotive mechanics or vehicle engineering.
- Experience working in a workshop or dealership environment, with knowledge of common tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Awareness of health and safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe work area.
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, service guidelines, and repair procedures.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
