Pertemps are recruiting for a Vehicle Mechanic for our public sector client in the West of Edinburgh.

Role – Mechanic (Cars)

Location – Sighthill area of Edinburgh

Hours – Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week

Pay rate – £18.34 per hour

Duration – temporary, ongoing

Start – ASAP

You will be working as part of an established Fleet team to ensure that vehicles are maintained to the required standard. You will be carrying out, but not be limited to:

  • Repair and maintain vehicles to VOSA / manufacturer standards
  • MOT testing (where required)
  • Supporting the team to ensure works are carried out
  • Ensure all works are carried out in a cost effective manner
  • Request parts as required
  • Use diagnostic equipment to assist with fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Complete documentation – both paper and electronically – to maintain accurate records
  • Cleaning and preparing vehicles
  • Any other tasks as required
