Role Description
The Mechanical and Electrical Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This role oversees all mechanical and electrical (M&E) aspects of construction projects, including planning, coordination, and execution of building services systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing maintenance strategies
- Reviewing and approving technical designs
- Supervising installation and inspection activities
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
The manager will collaborate closely with design teams, contractors, and suppliers, monitor performance of mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshoot issues, and prepare progress and technical reports. The role also involves:

- Optimizing lifecycle performance of M&E assets
- Supporting value engineering initiatives
- Contributing to continuous improvement across projects
Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical or Electrical Engineering foundation, with experience in building services and related systems.
- Experience in Maintenance planning and execution for mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Competence in Inspection activities, including site audits, quality checks, and compliance verification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Knowledge of UK construction standards, health and safety regulations, and M&E codes of practice.
- Proven experience managing contractors, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a diverse, inclusive team environment.

What We Offer
- Competitive salary of £75,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 40-hour working week (Monday to Friday), 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- 21 days’ annual leave (pro rata) + 8 bank holidays.
- Annual performance-related bonus (based on individual and company performance).
