ROLE: Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor

HOURS: 40 hours per week

LOCATION: Swanwick Southampton

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor to join the Mitie Projects team supporting NATS at Swanwick and Whiteley.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical and electrical installation, maintenance, refurbishment, and minor works activities across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate and manage specialist subcontractors, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, client procedures, and Mitie policies.
  • Review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring safe systems of work are understood and followed by all personnel.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable experience supervising M&E works within commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or similarly complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services installations.
  • Good understanding of current health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
