Location: North Essex
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
Salary: Competitive, with overtime available
Overview
Our client is a well-established and growing specialist engineering manufacturer based in North Essex. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Assembler to join their production team.
Working as part of a skilled assembly team, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components to produce high-quality finished equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly and fitting of components and assemblies.
- Installation of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and braking systems.
- Assembly and alignment of fabricated structures and moving components.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the build process.
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
- Working collaboratively to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills.
- Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, automotive, commercial vehicle, trailer, agricultural machinery or plant environments.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Understanding of pneumatic systems.
Full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
