Their work encompasses decarbonisation, heat networks, sustainability strategies, integrated energy systems, renewable energy, whole life carbon and energy centre design, alongside the full MEP remit across both new-build developments and existing buildings.
The consultancy combines technical excellence, intelligent design, collaboration and long-term thinking to deliver better outcomes for clients, communities and the environment. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an ambitious and collaborative team leader to help shape the future of their mechanical engineering capability.
Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Associate to join an established and growing consultancy at an exciting stage of its development.
The role combines project leadership, technical excellence and team development, while providing the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the mechanical engineering team.
- Lead the delivery of complex and challenging projects across multiple sectors
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary MEP design teams through all project stages
- Provide technical leadership and maintain high standards of engineering quality
- Build strong client relationships and support the development of repeat business opportunities
- Oversee commercial performance and project delivery
- Mentor and support the development of engineers within the team
- Contribute to the strategic growth and continuous improvement of the business
- Support and contribute to bids, proposals and business development activities
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership in shaping the future growth of the team and wider business

Requirements
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Significant experience within a building services design consultancy, ideally within a leadership or senior project delivery position
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through to completion
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience
- Excellent leadership, communication and team collaboration skills
- Strong technical understanding of UK building services design standards and regulations
- A passion for high-quality engineering, sustainability and continuous improvement
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership would be advantageous
