Role: Mechanical CAD Designer
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Day Shifts
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Owen Daniels are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and manufacturing business in Coventry is recruiting for a Mechanical CAD Designer due to growth in the business.
Mechanical CAD Designer:
- Assist and develop the design of electro/mechanical rotating equipment.
- Create accurate 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings, ideally using SolidWorks, along with supporting engineering calculations and design checks.
- Develop practical, cost-effective designs that meet technical, quality, safety, compliance, and manufacturing requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and quality teams.
- Investigate design and production issues, recommend improvements, and maintain accurate technical drawings, reports, and design documentation.

Requirements:

- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Experienced in a mechanical design position within a regulated industry.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and technical drawing creation (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and able to resolve design issues.
- Ability to work effectively with different engineering teams.
