Mechanical Engineer – Video Annotation Specialist
Type: Contractor
Compensation: $50–$90/hour
Location: Remote
About the Opportunity
We are seeking Mechanical Engineers with 2+ years of experience to support an AI training project involving robotic and mechanical system video annotation. You’ll apply your expertise in mechanical systems, components, motion, and physical interactions to create accurate training data.
No prior AI experience is required — your mechanical engineering expertise is what matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Review videos of robotic systems, mechanical components, tools, and physical tasks.
- Annotate objects, movements, actions, components, and mechanical interactions.
- Identify mechanical details such as motion, positioning, and component behavior.
- Review annotations for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Identify incorrect or unclear annotations using engineering knowledge.
- Follow detailed guidelines and provide feedback on ambiguous examples.
- Complete assigned tasks within project timelines.

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of mechanical components, tools, machines, and physical systems.
- Ability to understand mechanical movement and interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written English and ability to follow detailed instructions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks, NX, Creo, CATIA, or similar CAD tools.
- Background in robotics, automation, manufacturing, or industrial equipment.
- Experience with video annotation, data labeling, AI training, or computer vision.
Compensation
- Competitive compensation of $50–$90/hour.
- Independent contractor engagement.
- Fully remote and flexible project-based work.
- Approximately 200 positions available.
