Core Search is working with one of the UK's leading MEP Contractors who have secured a major package of works across the HS2 framework.
With projects secured for the next 5+ years, our client is delivering critical infrastructure works across multiple HS2 station developments and is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all mechanical installation activities on site
- Oversee direct labour, subcontractors, and specialist mechanical contractors
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards
- Monitor installation progress and drive productivity across work fronts
- Coordinate interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and civil packages
- Work closely with Project Managers, Design Teams, and Client Representatives
- Manage quality inspections, snagging, and close-out activities
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards
- Oversee testing, flushing, pressure testing, and commissioning activities
- Attend progress meetings and provide regular project updates
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues efficiently
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large-scale MEP, rail, infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects
- Strong background in mechanical building services installations
- Experience managing mechanical subcontractors and site teams
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical quality, testing, and commissioning procedures
- Relevant mechanical qualifications
- Experience working within rail, infrastructure, or major project environments would be advantageous
