Excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a long-standing and successful engineering company, offering a varied and technically interesting role working on bespoke automation projects.

This is a brilliant chance to join an industry-leading organisation that specialises in the design and delivery of turnkey CNC automation solutions. Due to continued success, they are looking to add an additional Mechanical Design Engineer to their growing Automation team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for creating detailed engineering drawings and supporting the design and development of mechanical components and systems for turnkey automation projects.

The Role

  • Create detailed engineering drawings using 3D CAD software
  • Generate bills of materials, general arrangements and manufacturing drawings
  • Assist with the design and development of mechanical components and systems
  • Support drawing releases, design changes and document control
  • Work on bespoke automation projects, jigs, fixtures and robot tooling

The Person

  • Mechanical Design Engineer or similar
  • 3D CAD experience
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
