Job Description

Energis is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer for our manufacturing client based near Portadown.

The successful Engineer will work within the Mechanical Engineering Department to design, develop, and validate new products to meet distributor and end customer requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate engineer with ~1 year's experience looking to develop their career with a well-established manufacturing business.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize 3D software to update designs and create new design concepts
  • Design in accordance with appropriate guidelines and legislation
  • Participate in concept and design discussion meetings
  • Utilize the design document management system
  • Create BOM’s and assembly instructions
  • Conduct validation testing
  • Liaise with production staff to aid manufacturing
  • Assist with the provision of technical information and advice to sales, after sales, and end customers
  • Visit suppliers and customers both locally and overseas

Criteria

  • Third-level Engineering qualification, ideally with ~1 year's previous design experience within heavy engineering / manufacturing
  • Proficient in Solidworks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment
