Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed design activities to meet the requirements of design for manufacture
- Conduct thorough investigations of non-conformance issues, including root cause analysis and failure mode analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to develop and implement design and corrective actions.
- Monitor and track the progress of corrective actions, ensuring timely completion and effectiveness.
- Implement Drawing/ Definition Change Requests
- Maintain accurate documentation of non-conformance reports, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design and manufacturing processes and reduce non-conformance occurrences.
Required Skills (Technical Competency)
- Proficient in 3D CAD package for both modelling and drawing, ideally PTC CREO v7 and TEAMCENTER UNIFIED
- First-hand experience in drafting engineering drawing including GD&T and tolerance stack.
- Experience in designing mechanical components, parts, assemblies, and subassemblies of engineering systems
- Experience in hand calculations to support initial component sizing, O-ring groove dimensions, bolt size, and number
- Ability to compile manufacturing drawings to BS8888 drawing standard with an understanding of Teamcenter Unified (TCU) PLM, to allow drawing and part sign-off

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Aerospace and Defence industry
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in leading teams and technical delivery.
- Previous experience in Creo Cabling and Simulate is desirable but not essential.
