Technique Recruitment Solutions Ltd are a specialist Engineering & manufacturing Recruitment company based in Norwich. Our client have a permanent position for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialised lifting equipment company.
The Role
Experienced mechanical design engineer required to develop customised products for a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace.
- Creation of overall design and assembly drawings to define customer requirements
- Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings for internal or external production
- Creation of BOM for special products and procurement as required
- Customer liaison for projects
- Liaison with Workshop Supervisor to ensure projects are fulfilled on time
- Continuous Improvement of existing products

Important Skills
- A sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalwork
- The ability to quickly and effectively design customised variants from a standard product range
- The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects
Other Skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similar
- Able to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on time
- Working knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislation
- Able to work as part of a small team
- Excellent communication skills
