About you

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will deal with all aspects of design relating to production, procurement, sub-contractors, service support and technical documentation. You should be methodical and able to work alone or within a team. Some form of mechanical assembly, fitting, and design experience is required.

You will be a fast learner with a keen eye for detail. You will be good at prioritising your workload against business demands. Experience with IT software including 2D and 3D design software packages would also be beneficial, but training will be provided.

About the role

This is an opportunity that will allow you to expand your knowledge and skills in a progressive and supportive team environment.

You will produce and check mechanical drawings, work with the electrical design and software engineers to ensure that mechanical design meets the necessary customer needs.

You will provide technical support for ABG production staff, subcontract/outsource partners, service department, and customers. You will produce part and assembly drawings to support the manufacturing and assembly processes so a keen eye for detail is essential. You may also be required on occasions to travel to other ABG sites, customers and supplier sites when requested.
