Job: Design Engineer

Location: Peterborough

Rate: £36 FCSA Umbrella (Inside IR35) or £26.25 PAYE

Duration: 12 months

Start: ASAP

We are actively looking for a Design Engineer to join a global automotive company in Peterborough supporting the design activities for electrified machine systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain engineering models, drawings, and supporting design documentation using Creo.
  • Support mechanical packaging, electrical integration, and machine-level design activities.
  • Work closely with project, build, and validation teams throughout the development process.
  • Investigate technical issues and implement practical engineering solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews, prototype builds, and engineering change activities.
  • Support machine build, commissioning, and validation programmes.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical design experience within a product development environment.
  • Electrical design and integration experience, ideally involving machines, vehicles, industrial, or electrified systems.
  • Proficiency in Creo.
