Our client is a specialist manufacturer of bespoke machinery and equipment that is used across multiple industry sectors globally. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their existing team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will focus on managing design projects from initial concept to delivery, gathering technical specifications and creating detailed 2D and 3D designs using CAD software.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D designs of technical machinery and equipment using CAD software.
  • Manage design projects from initial concept through to delivery.
  • Review and update legacy designs when required.
  • Understand the clients needs and create custom mechanical solutions that would work best for the team.
  • Provide technical support to the Applications Team and Commissioning Teams.

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a Design Engineer or equivalent position.
  • Experienced in managing design projects from initial concept through to delivery.
  • Proven experience in creating detailed designs using CAD packages such as SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of engineering analysis tools such as ANSYS would be beneficial.
  • Much has experience in creating design projects that involve moving parts.
  • Must be a team player.
