Product Design
What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Producing mechanical designs, technical drawings and detailed specifications using CAD and design tools
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality and product development
- Supporting design reviews, feasibility assessments and technical documentation
- Contributing to design optimisation, focusing on manufacturability, cost and performance
- Communicating design intent clearly to manufacturing and other stakeholders
- Supporting continuous improvement and technical problem-solving within the team

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Proven experience in mechanical design, CAD modelling and technical drawing production
- Working knowledge of design principles, ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards, and manufacturing processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset and commitment to technical accuracy
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have
- Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or simulation tools
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) or design collaboration platforms
- Knowledge of specific industry standards or regulatory requirements
