Mechanical Design Engineer (AutoCAD)

£35,000 - £40,000 + Industry Training + Early Friday Finish + Company Benefits

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar looking to join a thriving and well-established manufacturer, offering tailored industry training and a variety of exciting projects for high-profile, blue-chip clients with potential travel around the country?

In this role you will be responsible for producing 2D manufacturing drawings and site layouts for a range of clients. You will create and maintain bills of materials, amend designs, produce calculations, carry out site surveys and liaise with production and manufacturing teams to provide technical support to the shopfloor.

This well-regarded company have been in operation for over 40 years and have consistently grown due to working across lucrative sectors including defence, aerospace and manufacturing. They are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from conception to installation.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar, looking for a more varied role with high profile clients, where you will be well looked after with a great work-life balance.

The Role:

  • Producing 2D manufacturing drawings for customer approval
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials
  • Amend existing designs and produce calculations and site surveys
  • Provide technical support to the shopfloor
  • Monday to Thursday, 7:45am-4:30pm and Friday, 7:45-2:30pm

  • AutoCAD experience
