Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer working in the Building Services industry?

Interested in working on large scale projects with a globally renowned consultancy?

A multidisciplinary consultancy are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their practice in Birmingham.

Working across a variety of sectors and large infrastructure projects, this role will give you the opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team on prestigious and famous projects across a wide portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard digital tools, including HVAC, Boilers/Plant, Heat Pumps and water supply
  • Representing the business at meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Site surveys, inspections and monitor site works.
  • Managing elements of project delivery.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience working on a variety of design projects.
  • Experience working in a design consultancy or contractor design environment is essential.
  • Experience of building physics including overheating analysis and compliance calculations using IES.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards including BS7671
