Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

£40,000 - £45,000 + Training + Progression

Witney, Oxfordshire

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer or similar with SolidWorks experience and a background in manufacturing, looking to join a specialist manufacturer offering long-term progression and the opportunity to develop your technical skills?

On offer is the opportunity to join a specialist engineering manufacturer producing high-performance mechanical products for the automotive, motorcycle, motorsport, and performance vehicle sectors. You will work within a skilled design and engineering team, supporting the development of precision-engineered products from concept through to manufacture.

In this varied role, you will produce mechanical designs, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, working closely with engineering, production, and assembly teams to ensure designs are accurate, practical, and suitable for manufacture. You will support new product development, update existing designs, apply GD&T where required, and ensure drawings and technical documentation meet the required engineering standards.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer with SolidWorks experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes who is looking for a Monday to Friday role, long-term progression, and the chance to work within a specialist engineering environment.

The Role:

  • Producing mechanical designs, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
  • Supporting new product development, design updates, GD&T, and technical documentation
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, based in Witney

The Person:

  • SolidWorks experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Commutable to Witney, Oxfordshire
