Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Hybrid/London
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + benefits & bonuses
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer with 4-5 years of industry experience to join a well-established, Multidisciplinary Consultancy. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis from our client's London Office. You will work on technically challenging and high-profile Automotive (Production Facilities), Retail, Defence, complex Commercial Fit-Outs, and Higher Education projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- HVAC design and delivery of mechanical building services systems
- Develop mechanical design strategies, concepts, and detailed solutions
- Undertake and oversee thermal, comfort, and energy analysis of buildings and spaces
- Prepare models, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and technical approvals
- Support sustainability and low-carbon design approaches across projects
Key Requirements:
- 4-5 years of previous experience in the building services industry
- Proven experience working on projects through concept, detailed design, and delivery stages
- Strong experience working on Commercial projects.
- Demonstrable experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Software is essential
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and design standards
- Knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon design principles
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Proactive problem-solver with a delivery-focused mindset
