Redline is partnered with a long established engineering business in Surrey that designs and builds industrial instrumentation used in demanding, highly regulated environments.

Due to business growth and brand-new projects, my Surrey based client are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their R&D team.

In this Mechanical Design Engineer role, you will:

  • Work on the mechanical design of new and existing products throughout the full product lifecycle
  • Create and update 3D models, assemblies and detailed drawings for production
  • Design components for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)
  • Work closely with machining, sheet-metal, casting, rubber moulding, welding, and assembly operations

Key skills and experience for Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Surrey:

  • Degree or HND qualified in a related discipline
  • Experience within a Mechanical Design role within a highly regulated or safety critical environment
  • Strong understanding of materials selection, manufacturing processes and mechanical principles
  • Experience in 3D CAD models and drawings
  • Interest in instrumentation, automation or other engineered systems

Job Details:

  • Full time, on site 5x days per week
  • Must hold British / Dual passport or citizenship as a minimum due to the nature of work
