Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: London or Tamworth
Salary: Up to 50k
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design of mechanical systems and equipment for clean and wastewater treatment and non – infrastructure assets
- Produce and check mechanical design calculations, specifications, schedules, and drawings
- Assist with equipment selection, data sheets, and technical evaluations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, CDM regulations and health and safety requirements.
- Support site activities, including inspections, commissioning, and fault investigations where required.

Required Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field; master's degree preferred.
- 5 years' experience in Mechanical engineering design, preferably within the water or wastewater industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Understanding of mechanical systems such as pumps, pipework, valves, rotating equipment, and associated materials.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, such as CDM regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with problem – solving abilities and attention to detail
