Mechanical Design Engineer
Our client is a growing engineering company specialising in the design and delivery of bespoke automation and manufacturing equipment for customers operating in highly technical industries. With continued investment in technology and engineering capability, they're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding design team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects, from enhancing existing production equipment to developing complete automated machinery. You'll be involved throughout the entire design process, working closely with colleagues across engineering disciplines to deliver innovative, practical solutions from concept through to completion.

About You
You'll already have experience designing special-purpose machinery, automated equipment, or complex mechanical systems, and you're looking for your next engineering challenge.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- Mechanical design within automation, machinery or manufacturing environments.
- 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar.
- Producing accurate engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Applying practical engineering knowledge to solve technical challenges.
- Managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
It would also be beneficial if you've worked with:
- Pneumatic or motion control systems.
- Rapid prototyping or additive manufacturing.
- Design visualisation or rendering software.
- A Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- A full UK driving licence.
