To assist the company in achieving its business objectives and revenue targets by providing mechanical design solutions, to support the design of new products whilst also supporting in-life products via the use of ECN’s (Engineering Change Notes). Role also involves the creation and maintenance of product manufacturing data packs.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and effective mechanical design solutions to support the development and delivery of new and existing products.
- Create, confirm and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed drawings and associated engineering documentation.
- Ensure design solutions satisfy functional requirements, target specifications, manufacturability, build cost objectives and project timescales.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing data packs and product technical documentation.
- Administer Engineering Change Notes (ECNs), revision control activities and product configuration management processes.
- Deliver prototype assembly, testing, verification and validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Provide practical hands-on engineering support for prototype builds, product investigations and design evaluations.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of manufacturing, test and calibration methods, tooling and fixtures where required.
- Provide accurate task duration estimates and proactively identify technical, commercial and project risks.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues and support product introduction and ongoing production activities.
- Maintain CAD libraries, templates and engineering documentation systems to support efficient and consistent design practices.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, maintaining effective communication and a positive, proactive approach to achieving project objectives.
- Manage assigned workloads effectively to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality engineering outputs.
- Identify opportunities to improve product designs, engineering processes and documentation practices, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with company procedures, engineering standards and the Quality Management System (QMS).
