Mechanical Engineer - London, SW15
PPM Recruitment are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer in the London, SW15 area
The role is working within a hospital managing, maintaining, and repairing critical building services and physical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and inspect mechanical plant and equipment throughout the hospital.
- Work on heating, ventilation, air:conditioning, hot and cold:water systems, pumps, boilers and associated mechanical services.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and undertake repairs where appropriate.
- Ensure engineering systems comply with relevant health and safety, statutory and healthcare requirements.
- Monitor contractors and specialist engineering service providers.
- Assist with engineering projects, refurbishment works and equipment upgrades.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Respond effectively to breakdowns and emergencies affecting critical hospital services.
- Work closely with clinical departments, Estates staff and external contractors.
- Participate in an on:call or emergency response rota where required.
