What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Contributing to mechanical design and CAD modelling of components and assemblies
- Conducting engineering analysis, stress analysis and feasibility studies to support design decisions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing and quality to refine specifications
- Supporting the transition of designs from concept through to production, including manufacturability reviews
- Contributing to technical documentation, drawings and engineering reports
- Working within ISO 9001 quality management frameworks and compliance requirements
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand technical requirements and constraints

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- Solid experience in mechanical design and CAD (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of mechanical analysis, finite element analysis (FEA) or simulation tools
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management processes
- Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have experience could include:
- Experience in manufacturing, product development or industrial automation
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Exposure to project management or cross-functional delivery
- Additional certifications or continuous professional development in mechanical engineering
