I’m currently working with a highly regarded, employee-owned property and engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing Birmingham team.

The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be involved in a varied range of projects, working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing mechanical engineering solutions from concept through to completion
- Carrying out technical and condition surveys of existing buildings
- Producing mechanical calculations, designs, drawings and specifications
- Preparing tender documentation and supporting tender evaluations
- Working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams
- Providing technical expertise across a range of building projects
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulations

About You
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in building services or mechanical design who is keen to develop their career within a collaborative consultancy environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant building services or mechanical design experience
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Knowledge of BIM/Revit and IES would be advantageous
- An interest in progressing towards professional accreditation such as CIBSE or IMechE
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive approach and a genuine interest in developing your technical career
