Water & Wastewater | Croydon (Hybrid)

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Water & Wastewater team in Croydon. You'll work on a diverse portfolio of clean water and wastewater projects, helping to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for major UK water companies.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative consultancy, working alongside industry-leading specialists across mechanical, civil, structural, electrical and process engineering disciplines.
What you'll be doing
You'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design, construction and commissioning support.
Projects may include:
- Water and wastewater treatment works
- Pumping stations
- Pipelines and transfer systems
- Sludge treatment and handling facilities
- Sustainable infrastructure improvements

You'll be responsible for:
- Mechanical design and engineering calculations
- Equipment selection including pumps, valves, screens and process plant
- Producing specifications, reports and technical documentation
- Participating in design reviews, HAZOPs and value engineering workshops
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams
- Supporting project delivery through construction and commissioning
About You
We're interested in hearing from engineers who have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience delivering mechanical designs within the water sector
- Knowledge of water or wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A desire to continue developing professionally
We're open to candidates working towards chartership, recently chartered engineers and those with broader infrastructure experience looking to specialise in water.
